DOG LICENSES

If your dog is six months or older, state law requires that you obtain a license in the town where you reside. Newly obtained dogs must be licensed within thirty days of new ownership. When you obtain your first license you must submit a current rabies vaccination certificate issued by your veterinarian. You will also need to submit proof of the dog being spayed or neutered.

Dog licenses expire on June 30th of each year.  You can mail your dog license renewal with the appropriate fee and updated rabies certificate or come into the Town Clerk's office during the month of June.  Monthly penalty applies for dogs registered after June 30th ($1.00 per month).

It is not necessary to bring your dog to the Town Clerk's Office when obtaining the license.
