DOG LICENSES
If your dog is six months or older, State law requires that you obtain a license in the town where you reside. Newly obtained dogs must be licensed within thirty days of new ownership. When you obtain your first license you must submit a current rabies vaccination certificate issued by your veterinarian. You will also need to submit proof of the dog being spayed or neutered. Click here for Dog License Application.
The dog days are upon us! The Bristol Town Clerk's Office will begin issuing dog licenses on May 31, 2011. We encourage you to save time by renewing your dog license through the mail. Be certain to include the appropriate fee, the dog license application which is linked above, a copy of any updated certificates, such as rabies, and a self-addressed stamped envelope. If you prefer to renew your license in-person, the Town Clerk's office is open between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. A monthly State penalty willl apply for dogs registered after June 30th ($1.00 per month).
