DOG LICENSES

If your dog is six months or older, state law requires that you obtain a license in the town where you reside. Newly obtained dogs must be licensed within thirty days of new ownership. When you arrive for your first license you must submit a current rabies vaccination certificate issued by your veterinarian. You will also need to submit proof of the dog being spayed or neutered.

Licensing renewal time is the month of June. Renewal postcards are mailed during the month of May. Renewals may be returned to the Town Clerk through the mail. Please refer to instructions on the postcard.

Monthly penalty applies for dogs registered after June 30th ($1.00 per month).

It is not necessary to bring your dog to the Town Clerk's Office when obtaining the license.
