Directions to the Bristol Parks and Recreation Department

111 North Main Street, Bristol, CT

From 84 East

1.                  Get off exit 31 (West Street, Bristol Rt. 229)

2.                  Take a left at the end of the exit onto route 229

3.                  Stay on route 229 for approximately 4 miles

4.                  At the intersection of route 229 and route 72, take a left onto route 72.

5.                  Stay straight through the 1^st traffic light onto Memorial Boulevard.

6.                  At 2^nd traffic light take a right onto North Main Street

7.                  Go through 2 traffic lights and City Hall will be on your left.

8.                  Parking available on the street or in the Center Mall parking lot on the right.

9.                  The Parks and Recreation Department is on the 2^nd floor in City Hall.

From 84 West/ Route 9 North

1.                  Get off exit 33 (Bristol/Plainville/route 72 exit)

2.                  You are now on an expressway.  Follow expressway to the end.  (Do Not get off exit 2 or 1)

3.                  At the end of the expressway there will be a traffic light.  Take a right at that light onto route 72.

4.                  At 2^nd light take a left.  (still on route 72)

5.                  At 2^nd light (get in middle lane) take a left onto route 229.

6.                  At 1^st light take a right.

7.                  At 1^st light go straight onto Memorial Boulevard.

8.                  At 2^nd traffic light take a right onto North Main Street

9.                  Go through 2 traffic lights and City Hall will be on your left.

10.              Parking available on the street or in the Center Mall parking lot on the right.

11.              The Parks and Recreation Department is on the 2^nd floor in City Hall.

Directions to Page Park – King Street, Bristol

From 84 West

1.                  Get off exit 31 – West Street, Bristol, Rt. 229

2.                  Take a right at the end of the exit (You are now on Rt. 229)

3.                  Stay on Rt. 229 approximately 5 miles.  You will pass ESPN on your right, Lake Compounce on your left, the Sophia Room on your right.

4.                  After you pass the intersection where the Sophia Room is you will go through 3 traffic lights and then Page Park will be on your left.

From 84 East

1.                  Get off at exit 38

2.                  Go straight off end of exit

3.                  Follow rt. 6 for approximately 8 to 10 miles.

4.                  Take a left onto rt. 229 (King Street)

5.                  Go through one traffic light

6.                  Page Park will be on your right.

From Rt. 9 North

1.                  Take route 9 North to route 72 West.

2.                  Get off at exit 33 (Bristol/ Route 72 exit)

3.                  You will be on an expressway.  Stay on the expressway until the end.  Do not get off at exits 2 or 1.

4.                  At the traffic light at the end of the exit take a right onto route 72.

5.                  At your second traffic light take a left onto Broad Street. (following rt. 72)

6.                  At your second light take a right onto King Street (rt.229)

7.                  You will go through 2 traffic lights and then Page Park will be ahead on your left. (Bristol Eastern High School will be on your right)

DIRECTIONS TO ROCKWELL PARK

From 84 East

1.         Get off Exit 31 (West Street, Bristol Rt.229)

2.         Take a left at the end of the exit ( you are now on Rt.229)  

3.         Stay on Rt.229 for a few miles (approximately 4 miles)

4.         At your 10^th traffic light, take a left onto Rt. 72

5.         Stay straight through traffic light onto Memorial Boulevard

6.         Continue through 3 traffic lights

7.         At 4^th traffic light bear right onto Park Street

8.         Follow Park Street for about ½ mile

9.         Take a right onto Dutton Avenue.  You are now in Rockwell Park.

From 84 West and 72 West

1. From 84 West get off Exit 33 (Rt. 72)
2. Follow expressway to the end
3. At the end of exit take a right at the light (still Rt.72)
4. At 2^nd light take a left (still Rt.72)
5. At 2^nd light take a left (onto Rt.229)
6. At first light ( very quick) take a right
7. At first light go straight onto Memorial Boulevard
8. Keep straight and go through 3 traffic lights
9. At 4^th traffic light bear right onto Park Street (Rt.72), follow Park Street for about ½ mile
10. Take a right onto Dutton Avenue.  You are now in Rockwell Park.

Directions to Muzzy Field and Rockwell Park, Bristol, CT

From 84 East

1.      Get off Exit 31 (West Street, Bristol Rt.229)

2.      Take a left at the end of the exit ( you are now on Rt.229)

3.      Stay on Rt.229 for a few miles (approximately 4 miles)

4.      At your 10^th (approximately) traffic light, take a left onto Rt. 72

5.      Stay straight through traffic light onto Memorial Boulevard

6.      Continue through 3 traffic lights

7.      At 4^th traffic light bear right onto Park Street

8.      Follow Park Street for about ½ mile

9.      Take a right onto Muzzy Street.  Muzzy Field is right on the corner.

10.  Rockwell Park is at the end of Muzzy Street.

From 84 West/72 West

1.  Get off at exit 33

2.      Follow expressway to the end(do not get off at exits 2 or 1)

3.      At the end of exit take a right at the light (still Rt.72)

4.      At 2^nd light take a left (still Rt.72)

5.      At 2^nd light take a left (onto Rt.229)

6.      At first light (very quick) take a right

7.      At first light go straight onto Memorial Boulevard

8.      Keep straight and go through 3 traffic lights

9.      At 4^th traffic light bear right onto Park Street (Rt.72).

10.  Follow Park Street for about ½ mile

11.  Take a right onto Muzzy Street.  Muzzy Field is right on the corner.

12.  Rockwell Park is at the end of Muzzy Street.

Directions to the Dennis N. Malone Aquatics Center

325 Mix Street, Bristol, CT

From Route 84 East

1.                  Get off at exit 31 (West Street/Bristol exit)

2.                  At the light at the end of the exit take a left onto Route 229.

3.                  Follow route 229 to the end (approximately 6 – 8 miles).

4.                  Take a right onto Route 6 (Farmington Aveneu).

5.                  At your 2^nd traffic light take a left onto Mix Street.

6.                  At your 1^st stop sign you will see a fire house and little league fields to your left.

7.                  Go straight through the stop sign and take your 1^st left into Edgewood School.  Park in the Parking lot to the left.  The Aquatics Center is the second building on your left.

From Route 84 West and 72 West

1.                  Get off at exit 33 (Bristol/Plainville/Rt. 72 exit).  You will be on an expressway.

2.                  Get off at exit 1, the North Washington Street exit.

3.                  At the light at the end of the exit take a right onto route 177.

4.                  Follow route 177 until you come to the intersection of route 177 and route 6.  Tunxis Community College will be on your right.

5.                  Take a left onto route 6 west.

6.                  Follow route 6 and take a right at the 3^rd traffic light after you pass Stephen’s World of Wheels.  You will be turning onto Mix Street.  Staples and Dunkin’ Donuts are on the corner.

7.                  At your 1^st stop sign you will see a fire house and little league fields to your left.

8.                  Go straight through the stop sign and take your 1^st left into Edgewood School.  Park in the Parking lot to the left.  The Aquatics Center is the second building on your left.

Directions to Memorial Boulevard

From 84 West and Route 9 North

1. Take 84 West or route 9 North to route 72 West
2. Get off at exit #33 (rt. 72 Bristol/Plainville exit)
3. You will be on an expressway.  Follow the expressway to the end.  Do not get off exits 2 or 1.
4. At the light at the end of the expressway take a right. (still on rt. 72)
5. At your 2^nd light take a left. (still on rt. 72)
6. At your 2^nd light (get in left lane) take a left onto rt. 229.
7. At your 2^nd light take a right onto Mountain Road.
8. Follow Mountain Road.  It will turn into South Street.
9. Parking lot for Memorial Boulevard will be on your right.
10. Memorial Boulevard is on your right and runs parallel to South Street.

From 84 East

1. Take 84 East and get off exit 31 (West Street/Bristol)
2. At the light at the end of the exit ramp take left onto route 229.  Route 229 is West Street initially.  It will turn into Middle Street when you cross over into Bristol.
3. While on Route 229 you will pass ESPN on your right and Superior Electric on your right.
4. You will come to an intersection with the Sophia Room on your right and a supermarket on your left.  Take a left onto Mountain Road.
5. Follow Mountain Road.  It will turn into South Street.
6. Memorial Boulevard is on your right and runs parallel to South Street.

From Route 8 South (coming from Torrington)

1. Take exit 39 off of Route 8
2. Take a left at the end of the exit ramp onto route 6.
3. Follow route 6 to the intersection of route 72.
4. Take a right onto route 72 east.
5. Follow route 72 into downtown Bristol.
6. At the intersection with North Main Street route 72 goes left.
7. At this intersection go straight (stop following route 72)
8. At your next intersection go straight – you will be getting on Memorial Boulevard.  The school is just ahead on the right.
