PARK DEPARTMENT ANNOUNCES VACATION WEEK EVENTS
The Bristol Parks and Recreation Department will sponsor the following special
events during the February vacation week.
A sports drop in will be held Tuesday, February 21st through Friday, February 24th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Northeast Middle School gym. This program is for boys and girls in 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. Parks and Recreation Department staff will be on hand to organize fun games such as dodgeball, wiffleball, kickball and more. There is no charge for this program. Registration will be taken daily at the door.
On Tuesday, February 21st, the Amazing Andy will perform a magic show at 1:00 p.m. at the Memorial Boulevard Middle School auditorium. This show is sure to be a favorite of all ages. The cost is $1.00 at the door.
T-BONE (Tom Stankus) will be featured on Wednesday, February 22nd at the Memorial Boulevard Middle School Auditorium at 1:00 p.m.. The cost is $1.00 at the door. Join T-BONE as he sings songs about Camp Muckalucka. Camp Muckalucka" is a wonderful musical program where boys and girls participate in a fun-filled imaginary day at summer camp with T-BONE, their camp counselor. From the first blast of the wake-up bugle through activities such as swimming, story time, name that tune, the beach ball game the campfire sing-a-long to lights out, the “campers” will learn valuable listening, safety concepts while having a ball through hands-on participation. This is an awesome program they won't soon forget!
Casey Carle’s Bubblemania will be the grand finale to the February Vacation Week’s special performances. Casey will perform on Thursday, February 23rd at 1:00 p.m. at the Memorial Boulevard Middle School. The cost is $1.00 at the door. You won’t want to miss this show! Se giant Floating Spheres up to 4-6 feet in diameter, Incredibly Long Serpents of Soap Film stretching over 25 feet, Bubbles that Bounce, Hands-only bubbling, Funky, gravity defying globs of bubble foam, A Bubble Cube (a cube bubble? Yep!), The amazing Popcorn Machine, The mesmerizing Crystal Ball, The Bubble Spacecraft (actually spins), Fog filled bubbles, A bubble "volcano", and more!
