Residential Transfer Station Permits

5 year Residential Permits are now available - the fee is now $25.00 (cash or check only).
Residential permits are now five year permits while we transition to the new Pay as You Throw system. * Please note - Residential permits are for Bristol residents and/or taxpayers only for waste generated in Bristol. Business waste will not be accepted at the Transfer Station with a residential permit.
Permits can be purchased in the Public Works office located on the ground floor of City Hall. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
What you need to bring:
1. Your current driver's license (showing your Bristol address)
2. Cash or check (only) for the residential permit fee - currently $25.00.
Permits must be affixed to the windshield with a permit pocket. If you need additional permit pockets, they are available at the Transfer Station or at the Public Works office in City Hall.
Sticker replacement:
If you sell your vehicle or have your windshield replaced - your 5 year permit can be attached to the new windshield/new vehicle with a permit pocket. Replacement permit pockets are available at the Transfer Station and City Hall - Public Works office. Replacement window stickers will be granted free of charge only if the non-expired sticker and permit are returned to Public Works.

Bulk Tickets:
Permit holders must purchase bulk tickets for the following items:
asphalt shingles, ceramic tile, plaster, and sheetrock. Bulk tickets will no longer be used once the Pay as You Throw system is implemented.
Bulk tickets cost $30.00 per 500 pounds of waste. (A load or portion of a load - less than 500 pounds is a minimum of $30.00)
