WATER POLLUTION CONTROL FACILITY TOUR
 Headworks Building (in back) and 80 foot diameter Primary Clarifier settling tanks
 Screw Pumps lift the water from the Primary clarifiers up into the aeration/ nitrification tanks. Each screw pump can move 7,600 gallons per minute.
 The top of the aeration/nitrification facility. Each of the six tanks hold one half a million gallon of wastewater. Here the water is mixed with microscopic organisms and air. The organisms bring the small waste particles together into larger particles and begin to digest the waste.
