This Department provides coordination of all emergency departments in times of disaster. This includes paid and volunteer agencies associated with the City of Bristol. The Director is responsible for the writing and implementation of the Emergency Plans for the City. This keeps the City in compliance with State and Federal guidelines and programs.

WALLINGFORD, Conn. -- As a result of March's severe storms and flooding, help is available to support the state of Connecticut and its homeowners and low-income renters, according to U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) officials.

WALLINGFORD, Conn. — Federal dollars are available to help Connecticut homeowners after March storm damage with loans of up to $20,000 with a 1 percent interest rate through the U. S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Rural Development Housing Programs. Grants up to $7,500 could help certain seniors with repairs.

WALLINGFORD, Conn. -- If you are one of more than 1,840 Connecticut residents who have registered for disaster assistance with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) you may know someone - a family member or a neighbor - who has not applied for help.
With the ongoing recovery efforts from the tornadoes and response to areas with flooding, we are reminded that everyone should be prepared to address all hazards, including hurricanes, tornadoes and inland flooding.
