BRISTOL ERT FINISHES 2ND PLACE IN SWAT COMPETITION

The BPD recently took part in the Connecticut SWAT Challenge that was hosted by the West Hartford Police Department. This event is the second largest tactical team competition in the country. With 40 teams and nearly 1,000 participants, Bristol PD finished overall in second place. Since this event began, the Bristol team has finished in the top three every year since the event has been held. The Central Region Emergency Response Team are made up of officers from Bristol,Plainville, and Southington. The team was established by the BPD in 1996. In this event, officers are in formation and preparing to begin an obstacle course.
