Staffmember Sue Bergeron is on board to help with Benefits Check-up counseling and Medicare Part D help if needed.  860-584-7895 for appointment.    

Volunteer Counselors:

Dino Bossi, and Lou Galgano,  Trained Choices Volunteers will be happy to assist you to see if you qualify for any extra help paying for some of your medicines/medical.  If you are still paying $96.40 per month for Medicare Part B and make less than $1,778.91 (Single) or $2,393.55 (Married), you should come in to apply for the Medicare Saving Program which pays your part B premium. Don't wait!

Mature Driver Course - Get % off insurance

Schedule for the year -  First two Thursdays of the following months:

March, April , May , June,July, August, September, October, November, December 

Cost of course is $12.00 - 2 day session  - 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.  You must come in to Main office to sign up.

Every Friday 8:30 - noon starting in February 4th, 2011 through April 15th, 2011.   Income taxes done for seniors for free.  Just come in and take a seat until you are called, Art Room #100 at the Senior Center.  Our AARP Tax Volunteers have graciously offered to provide this service on Thursday, April 15th from 8:30 to 11:30.

Wednesday 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Foot Care, $15.00 Fee.   

Thursdays 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (Summer Hours Wednesdays also)

Fridays 8:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. beginning in September.

Screenings & Cleanings $30.00

Check ups every 6 months.

Dental referrals to participating dentists charge on a sliding scale.

Dental forms may be picked up in the Main Office of the Senior Center.

Many one day or overnight and extended trips are offered. Consult with Beverly

Congregate Meals Program - Daily at noon - fee $2.50 (60 or over)

Lunch is served Monday to Friday, excluding holidays, and the menu is in our newsletter.  You must register 24 hours in advance, by calling 860-582-5928.  If you bring a guest under 60, the fee is $4.50.  Site manager is Michele Rochette.

Meals on Wheels Program -  call Marlin "Ben" Bendickson at 860-582-5928 to see criteria.  Volunteers are always welcome to help deliver these meals from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday to Friday.

Activities:

Silver Fox Fitness Room - $50.00 per year

We have 2 treadmills, 2 recumbent bikes, 1 elliptical and 1 Nu-step trainer and share the room with the Wii activities.  Come in and check us out, and partner with a friend.

Nintendo Wii - Games:

Come join us as a volunteer monitor or just to relax and play.  We currently only have monitors on Monday at 9:30, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 1:00 and Thursday at 10:00 a.m. In order to offer this program, we need more volunteers.  We have bowling, baseball, golf and many other games that may be offered in the new "fitness room".  Call if you would like to help or just come in to play.  860-584-7895.  If you would like to be a "TEAM Bowler", call Helen at 589-5541 or sign up in the Main Office.

Come dance in our spacious air conditioned gymnasium to the sounds of the infamous "Senior Eighth Notes".

Wednesdays - 12:45 - 3:00 p.m. in the Community Room #109.

We have a homelike atmosphere in our TV room and a very extensive library.  You can read the local newspapers, do a jig saw puzzle or read a book.  Computer also available to members.

Open Mon. - Fri. 8:30 - 1:00 p.m.  - Tuesdays until 3:00 p.m.

Breakfast/lunch served very reasonably, Tuesday thru Friday, hand-made artificacts from the woodshop for sale.

Timeless Treasures Boutique- Under new Management

Will be opening October 1, 2010

Open daily Mon. - Friday 8:30 - 1:00 p.m. (Closed July and August). Tuesdays till 3:00.

All proceeds to benefit Senior Center programs.
