Join me and take this opportunity to explore your hidden talents and creative side. This course will teach the unique and simple painting technique to paint basic flowers, leaves and vines. Supply list can be picked up at Class Registration.

Strength & Tone Exercise 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Ellie Bialobrzeski Gym - First Class Monday, 9/20/10
Muscle loss occurs as you age. A cardio/weight training program will build muscle strength to increase your metabolism and can help you deal with osteoporosis. This class consists of a 10 minute warm-up followed by a low-impact 45 minute strength segment and finishes with core strengthening exercises and stretch. This class is designed for beginner and intermediate level participates. A set of dumbbells and a mat is all you will need to bring. The instructor recommends starting out with a set of 3lb.-8lb. pair of dumbbells. (Your judgment) If you don't have a set of dumbbells two 20oz. soda/water bottles filled with sand (or water) work great.

An exercise program geared to the older person – just for ladies.
Experienced Quilting 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. Juanice Raymond Art Room 100
Students will learn various advanced quilting techniques while working on several patterns. Picture and fabric requirements will be posted in Room 100 at time of registration. $2.00 pattern fee plus supplies.
Seat Weaving- Chair Cane 12:30 – 3:00 p.m. Janice Bennett Room 104
Reweave the seat of your favorite chair using cane, fiber rush or reed. Working week by week on your project, students will learn professional and traditional techniques (including secrets of the trade!). This is a “learn-by-doing” class. You can expect to complete one average hand-woven chair seat in 10 weeks. Bring your chair to the first class.
Ceramics for Seniors (Evening) 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Sandy Milanese. Soucy Room 104
This class will teach the basic terminology of the craft, along with complete instructions and hands-on projects. Each student will have the opportunity to create several projects. A choice of many molds will be available. A choice of greenware pieces will be available. Students will purchase personal supplies and glazes plus $1.00/week for acrylic paint usage. There is no fee for firing.

Join our delightful atmosphere, which makes exercise more pleasurable and will leave you with the strength and energy to improve your health and appearance as well as calm your mind and body. Fun and effective, this class is geared for older men & women. Sneakers and comfortable clothes a must.

This class project is designed to teach rotary cutting techniques and chain piecing methods. You'll be surprised on how you do. Picture and fabric requirements will be posted in Room 100 at time of registration. $2.00 Pattern Fee plus materials.

Oil and Acrylic are the main mediums taught in this class, however, all mediums are welcome. Subject matter is each individual’s choice. We have pictures to choose from, or bring your own. Students bring their own supplies.

A choice of many molds available. Students to purchase own supplies. A minimal charge for paints, etc. plus $1.00 per week for paints & glazes. Firing is free for Senior ceramics, however for Porcelain will be ½ the cost of the porcelain greenware plus additional glaze expense for very large items. Class size 20.
Line Dance – Beginners & Intermediate 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. Jim Gregory Gymnasium First Class 9/23/10
This is your entrée to the fun of line dancing. No partners, no experience – NO PROBLEM! Learn basic moves like vines, box steps, even the Charleston. Enjoy easier dances in country-western disco and latin rhythms. Build your energy and confidence while you build your dance repertoire.

Drawing skills NOT necessary! Oil and Acrylic are the mediums taught in this class. New students will work with teacher’s supplies first class. A supply list will be provided during the first day of class. All you need to bring to first class is your enthusiasm!
