PUBLIC NOTICE Double Micro-SurfacingPUBLIC NOTICE Double Micro-Surfacing October 5, 2018 The Double Micro surface treatment is substantially complete on the following streets: Corbin Ridge Payton Terrace Cameron Drive Tiffany Lane Doris Road Hill Street Although the surface treatment dries relatively quickly and is able to handle traffic, the curing time is approximately two weeks. We ask for your patience during this time to allow the Double Micro surface to fully cure and set. The appearance of the surface treatment will closely resemble bituminous pavement at the end of the curing time. Engineering will be monitoring the streets and working with the contractor to resolve any issues. The streets will be swept next week to remove any loose material. Please feel free to contact Nancy Levesque, P.E. or Raymond Rogozinski, P.E. in the City Engineering Department at 860-584-6297 with any concerns or questions.
VOTER REGISTRATION SOLICITATIONWe have received many calls from the public about a mailing that was recently sent to residents throughout Bristol. This was sent by a 3rd party advocacy group, which appears to be targeting one particular political party in the state. This group is using lists of already registered voters including deceased voters which is causing a lot of confusion. Should you receive any inquiries, please know that the Secretary of the State’s Office nor the Registrars of Voters’ Office have not sent out this mailing. This group is using what appears to be a legitimate mail-in registration form and there is nothing we can do to stop this outreach. If you still wish to confirm your voter registration status and polling place. You may use the voter lookup tool by clicking the link below: Or call the Registrars of Voters’ Office at 860-584-6165
