Hot in Place Asphalt Recycling

August 2, 2018

The City of
Bristol is scheduled to perform work on the roadway located along yourproperty.  The process is called “Hot in
Place Asphalt Recycling” and consists of heating the existing roadway pavementand compacting the asphalt to form new roadway pavement.  Work is scheduled to start Wednesday August 8,
2018 and will occur on the following streets in the order indicated:

Day 1 - CorbinRidge

Day 1 & 2 -
Payton Terrace

Day 2 - BrandonRun

Day 3 & 4 -
Cameron Drive

Day 4, 5 & 6 -Tyler Way

Day 6, 7 & 8 -
Tiffany Lane

Day 8 - Doris Road

The machine used duringthe Hot in Place Asphalt Recycling process generates a considerable amount of
heat and can on occasion, cause noticeable leaf discoloration; much the same asoccurs each fall. This is a temporary condition that results in no permanent
damage to the tree.

The contractorwill have staff on site to limit public access to the equipment and the roadway
during the pavement heating process, however residents are advised that a highdegree of heat is generated by the work.
The City requests that residents please pay attention to constructionworkers and traffic signs to stay clear of the immediate work area.

Once the Hot in Place Recycling work is complete, the roadway will be treated with an additional surface treatment.  Additional notification will be forthcoming if there are revisions to the proposed project scope or schedule.   On behalf of the City I apologize for any inconvenience this project may cause and would like to thank you in advance for your cooperation.
