Mountain Road Work

The City of Bristol will be installing an energy dissipation fence along the rock face located on the southern portion of Mountain Road.  The fence will be installed along the edge of the roadway and will protect the roadway from rocks potentially entering the road from the rock face.  Work is scheduled to commence on Monday September 11, 2017 and will last approximately three weeks.

The major components of the work will be performed off the roadway pavement.  During construction one of the two lanes of Mountain Road east bound traffic lanes will be closed.  Traffic on Maintain Road will be maintained however, drivers are advised to expect delays and seek alternate routes.

Additional notifications will be issued to provide project updates as necessary.

On behalf of the City I apologize for any inconvenience this project may cause and would like to thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Please feel free to contact Department of Public Works, Raymond A Rogozinski, P.E., City Engineer at 860-584-6113 with any concerns or questions.
