CITY ANNOUNCES REOPENING OF MEMORIAL BOULEVARD BRIDGE

NEWS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: (Bristol CT) December 3, 2021

CITY ANNOUNCES REOPENING OF MEMORIAL BOULEVARD BRIDGE

(BRISTOL, CT) – The City of Bristol would like to announce the reopening of the Memorial Boulevard Bridge. Detours are to be removed the afternoon of Monday, December 6, 2021 in order to resume normal traffic patterns.

Construction activities began in June of 2021 with the project scheduled for road opening by December of 2021. Construction of the sidewalks and parapets will continue throughout the winter with decorative elements scheduled in the Spring of 2022. Temporary closures during this time may be required. Since this will remain an active construction site, caution is advised for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians through the construction zone.

Questions and/or comments regarding the project may be directed to Nancy Levesque, P.E., City Engineer at 860-584-6125 (nancylevesque@bristolct.gov)
