Bristol Senior Center Update

The State of Connecticut has issued guidelines for the opening of Senior Centers throughout the State.  The guidelines mention September 1st as a reopening date.  Even though the Bristol Senior Center is open, please note, the Bristol Senior Center will not be opening its doors to programs or drop in activities on September 1st.  Staff are working in the office weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.  All programming is currently being offered virtually.  Meals on Wheels continue to be delivered.  The Congregate Lunch program is available Monday – Friday as a grab and go meal.  Staff are available to meet one on one with individuals by appointment as necessary.  Appointments must be made in advance.

Maintaining the safety of the senior center members and staff is the highest priority.  Staff at the Bristol Senior Center are currently reviewing the guidelines and putting an opening plan in place to ensure this is the case.  The plan will be reviewed by City leaders and the Bristol Burlington Health Department.   The Senior Center will open its doors to activities once all safety protocols are in place.  The staff at the Bristol Senior Center looks forward to seeing the members back in the building.  If you need assistance, or know of a senior who needs assistance please contact the Bristol Senior Center at 860-584-7895.
