***The 2021 Brush and Branch collection Season is Over***
We do not pick up brush/branches in the winter. You may make a brush/branch collection appointment during Yard Waste Season (typically the first week of April through early-December, weather-permitting).
Branches must be less than six inches in diameter and cut to maximum 4-foot lengths. The total brush/branch pile cannot exceed 4 ft. x 4 ft. x 4 ft. (length x width x height). Branches/brush must be tied in secure bundles that one person can lift.
Please do not place brush/branches at the curb until 24 hours before your scheduled collection date. Brush/branches need to be at the curb for 6:00 a.m. on your appointment date.
Residents can schedule a brush/branch curbside pickup by calling the Public Works Department at (860) 584-6125. Brush/branch collections are scheduled for Wednesdays. During holiday weeks, brush/branch collections are done on Thursday.
Sorry, we cannot collect loose piles of brush/branches.
Brush and branches fitting the above description, and any other yard waste, can always be brought by city residents to the city’s Solid Waste Transfer Station with a residential permit.
